About
We preserve Tuareg heritage; keeping traditional silver craft alive by translating it with care into the modern world.
To preserve Tuareg heritage
Rooted in the Sahel, the brand preserves Touareg silver craft and living.
Our pieces are made to connect the wearer to centuries-old symbols of connection and guidance; accompanying you through this fast world.

Aza Laye was born from the meeting of the Dutch Sjoerdje Meijers and the Burkinabé Touareg silversmith Abdoulaye Ag Hahoudou, in Senegal.
To preserve a heritage at risk of fading, supporting many Touareg artisans and their families.
Our work keeps these traditions alive; translating them with care into the modern world.

Touareg silverwork combines function, artistry, and identity. Every piece is made entirely by hand, without machines, using the same gestures that have shaped silver in the desert for centuries.
Aza Laye creates contemporary silver pieces that respect traditional methods while appealing to a modern world.
Every design reflects the values of authenticity, quality, and cultural continuity.
Each Aza Laye piece carries ancient Touareg symbolism. Some are drawn from signs once drawn in the sand and later engraved in silver as messages of guidance, love, and protection.
The Agadez Cross, with its four points, represents direction and the path home.
Our Alphabet Ring continues this legacy, featuring letters from the Tifinagh script, the written language of the Touareg; letting each wearer carry their own story in silver.
