A portal between past and present, tradition and modernity.

The Gao Necklace takes its name from Gao, the historic crossroads city of the Sahel long associated with trade, movement and cultural exchange. More than a necklace, it is a symbolic piece inspired by connection, journey and belonging. Its open form reflects continuity; a shape without beginning or end, linking heritage to the present day.

Entirely handcrafted in pure silver by Touareg artisans, each Gao Necklace carries the raw beauty of traditional desert craftsmanship. The softly hammered surface catches light in subtle ways, while the silver itself develops more character over time through wear, becoming increasingly personal to the one who wears it.

In Touareg culture, silver jewelry has long held meaning beyond ornament alone. Pieces were often worn as symbols of protection, identity and passage; objects carried through generations and across journeys. The Gao Necklace draws from this heritage while remaining minimal and timeless in form.

Each necklace comes with handcrafted suede cords, creating a natural contrast to the strength of the silver pendant. Two colors can be chosen to create a personal combination. Available tones include dark brown, camel, black, light brown, beige, night blue, olive green, terracotta, warm grey, sand, ivory, rust, forest green, deep navy, soft taupe and orange.

Designed to be lived in, kept and passed on.
